The Yuba-Sutter Chapter of TIP Inc. was founded in 1994. There are currently 45 volunteers serving two counties. We serve all of the emergency agencies and hospitals in the area . . . all 35 agencies!
The purpose of Yuba-Sutter TIP is to provide immediate emotional and practical support to survivors of tragedy. Local residents are trained to be TIP Volunteers, and as TIP Volunteers they respond on a 24/7/365 day basis to requests for assistance from police officers, firefighters, paramedics, deputy coroners and hospital personnel.
Volunteers respond to support survivors of all types of tragedy including sudden deaths, suicides, auto accidents, drownings and sudden infant deaths. TIP Volunteers also support travelers when tragedy occurs in Yuba-Sutter when they are far from home.
